Christine Vanderford is an attorney who focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate settlement, business planning, elder law, real estate, probate and limited general practice.
Christine grew up in Nebraska. Her parents were public school teachers and her father, Michael Nannen, coached high school sports in Weeping Water, Red Cloud and Yutan, where she graduated from high school in 1990.
Christine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Prior to entering private practice, Christine worked with Attorney General Don Stenberg for nine years, serving as an advisor in the positions of Press Secretary and Assistant Attorney General. During her tenure at the Nebraska Attorney General’s office, Christine practiced in the area of Consumer Protection, working closely with Nebraska seniors and other consumer organizations to fight consumer scams, fraud and abuse. In 2002, Christine assisted Mr. Stenberg in publishing the “2002 Nebraska Consumer Guide.”
Christine also obtained recognition while working to establish the Nebraska AMBER Plan, a child abduction system implemented in Nebraska in 2002. Documents that Christine produced for Nebraska’s AMBER Plan have been used as a model for the National AMBER Plan. In 2003, Christine was honored with the Chairman’s Award from the Nebraska Broadcaster’s Association for her efforts in establishing the Nebraska AMBER Plan.
Christine belongs to several professional and civic organizations including: the American Bar Association, the Nebraska Bar Association, the Lincoln Bar Association, the Nebraska AMBER Committee, Business Networking International, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln Independent Business Association, Lincoln Leaders Group, Southpointe Kiwanis, Lincoln Elks Lodge, Lincoln Estate Planning Council, Lincoln Probate Discussion Group, and Elmwood-Murdock Merchants Association.
Currently, Christine resides in the small town of Murdock, Nebraska.
She is active in her local church and enjoys spending time with
her family. She lives on a farm with her husband, Dale Vanderford.
